About Workplace Wellness Hub

Workplace Yoga & Wellbeing in Bromley, Croydon and South East London

Supporting calmer, healthier working lives through workplace yoga and wellbeing

Workplace Wellness Hub was created from lived experience of both the pressures of modern working life and the powerful difference that yoga, mindfulness and meditation can make when they are accessible, grounded and relevant to real people.

Like many people, I experienced burnout earlier in my career. I took time out to rest, de-stress and reassess, and it was during this period that I trained as a yoga teacher and studied meditation – practices I have continued ever since. The impact of yoga on my own wellbeing was profound, not just physically, but in how I related to stress, work and daily life. I knew I wanted to share these tools with others.

Since qualifying as a yoga teacher in 2013, I have taught yoga – both full-time and part-time – alongside returning to office-based work in health research. This dual experience shapes everything I do. I understand first-hand what it feels like to balance deadlines, meetings and cognitive demands, while trying to stay well, focused and resilient.

Workplace Wellness Hub exists to bring practical, evidence-based yoga and wellbeing into working environments, in a way that fits real life, not an idealised version of it.

Why Workplace Wellbeing Matters

Office life and modern working life are inherently stressful. Many of us spend long hours sitting, working at screens, and switching rapidly between tasks. While stress is a normal part of life, problems arise when we remain in a heightened stress response for too long.

Many common ways of “switching off” like scrolling on phones or watching TV, don’t truly allow the nervous system to rest. Without tools to activate the parasympathetic (rest and restore) response, stress can become chronic, contributing to burnout, reduced engagement and declining physical and mental wellbeing.

Workplace yoga and mindfulness offer practical ways to:

  • Reduce stress and physical tension
  • Improve physical comfort and mobility for desk-based work
  • Support emotional regulation and focus
  • Create space to pause, breathe and reset during the working day

My approach prioritises calm over performance, offering inclusive practices that meet people where they are.

Workplace yoga and wellbeing initiatives are increasingly supported by scientific research. Learn more about the evidence behind these approaches here.
